It was a system of signs, rules and structures that allowed people to communicate. Each language had its own map, with paths and shortcuts to express ideas and emotions. Lila learned that Spanish, English, and French were different languages, but they all shared common characteristics. He imagined the language as a garden full of flowers of different colors and shapes. Each flower represented a word, and the branches connected the words into sentences. Lila marveled at the beauty and complexity of this linguistic garden.

Let's also use the words in, on, and under," said Teddy. First, Teddy stood next to a big tree. "Pip, look! I am in front of the tree!" he said. "Good, Teddy! Now, find something to stand on," said Pip. Teddy saw a big rock. He climbed on it. "Pip, look! I am on the rock!" he said. "Great, Teddy! Now, find a place to hide under," said Pip. Teddy found a big bush. He crawled under it. "Pip, I am under the bush!" he said. "Well done, Teddy! You used all the words: in, on, and under," said Pip. They kept playing and using the words. Teddy found himself in a small cave, on a log, and under a tree branch. As the sun went down, Teddy and Pip sat by the pond. "Thank you, Pip. I had fun and learned new words," said Teddy. "I am happy too, Teddy. Learning is fun," said Pip. They watched the sunset together. Teddy couldn't wait to play and learn more with Pip. The end.

The owl kindly helped. Page 3: Following the owl's directions, they found a stream with a bridge guarded by a playful elf with pointy ears and sparkling blue eyes. Oliver asked, "Can you tell us a riddle, please?" The elf asked, "What has keys but can't open locks?" Mia answered, "A piano!" The elf cheered, "Great job!" Page 4: Crossing the bridge, they found a treasure chest under a tree. Inside were coins and jewels. The friends thanked the owl and elf, realizing that politeness and manners led to happiness and success in the magic garden.

‘Breathe in…1, 2, 3, 4… now out …1, 2, 3, 4.’ Mayuka taught her dolls what she saw her mother, a psychologist, do often. After playtime, the 9-year-old busily punched the air, tapped her foot, twirled, and bent her knees… dance was her world! Her school’s annual day was coming up in two weeks. Mayuka was set to perform a group dance along with classmates from 4th standard first and later, a solo dance in the competition category. The girls prepared for the group dance with their class teacher. For her solo, she took help from Greta Miss, her dance teacher at the Dancing Stars studio near her home. Two weeks became one week and then soon enough Rainbow School’s annual day arrived. She was exhausted from the constant practice yet excited. ‘Welcome to Rainbow School’s Annual Day,’ read the banners everywhere. Mayuka walked into school chirpily with her mother. Since her father’s death a year ago, it was her mother who attended all her school events. Mayuka and her mom went to her classroom, buzzing with her dance pals. ‘Where’s my skirt?’ ‘Miss, my hairclips are missing.’ Ka-chik, ka-chik, selfies everywhere. Mayuka got ready quickly. Her mom gave her the usual good luck kiss. The dancers waited backstage as Miss Lily announced ‘Here come the dance champs of class 4!’ The audience clapped exuberantly before and after the dance.
