When she arrived at the place where the giants live, the giants stomped their enormous feet and boomed with their enormous voices and crunched their enormous teeth. Layla didn’t care. She waved at them cheerily and then they made her Queen of the Giants.

Soon though, Layla grew weary of the Giants and dreamed of her home. So she climbed back into her hot air balloon, drifted through clouds and almost over a rainbow until she landed back in the warmth of her very own room.

Alas, one day after countless hours of tinkering, Giant Matt finally had the best of the best tiny toy bicycle! He was so proud of his creation! So proud, in fact, that he couldn't just let it sit in his giant palm and look pretty. "This tiny bike must serve a better purpose" thought Matt allowed to his shop kitty. Then, as if a sign from the universe, a small human creature passed in front of his shop.

There was a frog named Sammy. Sammy was a happy frog, he loved to splash in his little pond and swim around. His friend, Flipp the Duck, was his best friend. They lived together in their little pond. Sammy hopped around and Flipp paddled through the water. They played hard all day splashing around and then slept on the sandy bank. One day Sammy brought up the fact that they hadn’t gotten rain for a while. Flipp agreed but they shrugged it off and continued to play. They continued to think to themselves that it would rain but after a week they still hadn’t gotten rain. Their pond began to dry up. One day Sammy and Flipp woke up and when they walked down to their pond excited to play, they were met with a dry hole. What was once their pond was now a giant muddy hole. Sammy couldn’t believe it “what are we going to do without a pond?” he muttered. Flipp began to say, “maybe it will rain and then it will fill back up”. Sammy agreed and he and Flipp sat in their muddy hole waiting for even the slightest drop of rain. Days passed without any rain the days were filled with boredom, Sammy began to ask, “will it ever rain?” Flipp responded “it will one day we just have to be patient”. One day while Flipp was curled up and Sammy was staring at the sky, Sammy felt a small drop on his forehead. “Flipp get up I felt a drop!” he screamed, Flipp perked up and looked at the sky more drops began to fall. They both stood up and started leaping with joy as it began to rain harder and harder. They watched as their pond slowly filled back up Sammy yelled “cannon ball!” and jumped in, Flipp watched and couldn’t wait any longer and then he splashed into their pond. They both splashed each other as the rain began to fall even harder. Every day they would play in their pond, and it continued to rain every day for them and they never had to worry about a dry pond again.

2.  John Jr and Yuēhàn learned that The War of 1812 was fought by the United States and against the United Kingdom and its allies in North America. It began when the United States declared war on Britain on 18 June 1812. Although peace terms were agreed upon in the December 1814 Treaty of Ghent, the war did not officially end until the peace treaty was ratified by the United States Congress on 17 February 1815.
2.  John Jr highlighted some important points about the War of 1812 to Yuēhàn.  These points included: The war was fought over trade practices, territorial expansion, and British support for Tecumseh's confederacy,
 The British Royal Navy took American sailors from their ships and forced them to join the British Navy, The war ended in a stalemate, with no side losing territory, except for the Native Americans, The war is sometimes called the Second War of Independence,  
 The war was a result of the wider conflict between Great Britain and France over who would dominate the world 
 3.  John Jr and Yuehan was glad to hear that On February 16, 1815, the day President James Madison sent the Treaty of Ghent to the Senate, the War of 1812 came to an end.

in the safari, there lived a baby deer named Daisy. Daisy loved to hop and skip through the tall, golden grasses. Daisy spotted a tall, gentle giraffe named George.  He was stretching up to nibble on the greenest leaves from the tallest branches.

Daisy watched in awe. George looked down at Daisy with a warm smile. “Hello, little deer! Yes, I can reach the high leaves, but I can’t run as fast as you, Daisy. 
Daisy’s ears perked up. “But what’s the use of being fast if I can’t taste those delicious leaves?” 

George thought for a moment and then lowered his head to Daisy’s level. Why don’t we help each other?

Daisy’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Oh, I’d love that!” she exclaimed. “Let’s be a team!”

 Daisy would meet George by the acacia tree. George would bend his long neck and pluck the juiciest, freshest leaves from the treetops. He would share them with Daisy, who would happily munch away, enjoying a treat she could never reach on her own.

In return, Daisy showed George how to move more gracefully on the ground. “Step lightly,” she taught him. “Feel the ground under your hooves. Try to move like the wind – softly and swiftly.”

George practiced every day. At first, he was a bit clumsy, but Daisy encouraged him. “You’re getting better!” she cheered. “Just keep trying!” 


“We’re helping each other,” Daisy replied proudly. “George is teaching me to reach new heights, and I’m helping him move gracefully.”


From that day on, Daisy and George’s friendship grew even stronger, and soon other animals joined them. They realized that everyone had something special to offer.

3. September 11, 2001 was the deadliest terrorist attack in history, killing around 3,000 people. The attacks occurred when al-Qaeda hijacked four planes and flew two into the World Trade Center in New York City, one into the Pentagon, and the fourth into a field in Pennsylvania. 
 4. In response to the attacks, the United States waged the multi-decade global war on terror to eliminate hostile groups deemed terrorist organizations, as well as the foreign governments purported to support them, in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and several other countries.
5. Ringleader Mohamed Atta flew American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan at 8:46 a.m.[h] Seventeen minutes later, at 9:03,[i] the World Trade Center's South Tower was hit by United Airlines Flight 175. Both 110-story skyscrapers collapsed within an hour and forty-one minutes,[j] bringing about the destruction of the remaining five structures in the WTC complex and damaging or destroying nearby buildings. American Airlines Flight 77 flew towards Washington, D.C. and crashed into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m., causing a partial collapse.
