The farmer witnesses the arrest and disappearance of neighbors, realizing that the Khmer Rouge’s brutality could soon affect those he knows and cares about. He decides to act rather than stand by, initiating his resistance. The farmer begins secretly hiding families on his property, moving them at night and smuggling food. He faces immense risk, aware that being caught would lead to execution for him and everyone he’s hiding. Rumors circulate that villagers are betraying each other to save themselves. The farmer becomes increasingly paranoid but is determined to stay strong and support those hiding on his property. Soldiers arrive to search his home. In a moment of intense danger, the farmer keeps his composure, calmly engaging the soldiers in conversation to avoid suspicion while hiding his terror. The soldiers move on, narrowly missing the hidden families. After the soldiers leave, the farmer and the families he sheltered are left in a quiet, tense relief. The families decide to move on the next day to prevent further danger to the farmer. Survivors, inspired by the farmer’s courage, tell his story in whispered tones to others, spreading awareness about the possibility of resistance even under a brutal regime.

There was once a loving mule. This mule loved to dance around his mama and eat all the green grass it could see. no matter how tired it got it always knew that his mom loved him. The mule was going around and much bigger now. He loved to play and to spend time around his loving mother. However, it was getting colder and colder and the grass was no longer green and there was not a lot of food around. His mother gave him her share of the hay and the mule understood that he was truly loved and shared this with her to return that love. one day a bad man who was always angry came and took him away from his mother. This man would hardly let him eat and always worked him all day long with hardly giving him a break. The mule thought this man must not know what love is and was going to try to show this man what love is. For 3 days the mule would work and work and work. but it was never hard enough for the man wouldn't even feed him at the end of the day. The mule cried and was so very hungry and thought "how can I show this man what is love?" The man took the mule into town and piled a bunch of food in front of him to eat. there was another man there though. This man was holding a single piece of bread. At first the mule was confused with the choice. But something in that bread felt like his mothers love from a long long time ago. He was so shocked thinking how could this be? that he knelt in front of this bread he knew was the source of all love. Hoping this would show the mean man that love requires all of us to sacrifice sometimes. The man was so shocked that he knelt down in front of the bread too and he yelled with tears and joy that this must be God. For surely God must be love

He pushed and shoved until he broke through the surface, feeling the warm sun on his back. Ch7: The Importance of Community. He saw how the cicadas worked together, their collective song filling the air. Ch8: The Song of the Cicada. Squeaky discovered that the song of the cicada was a love song, a call to attract a mate and start a new generation. Ch9: Sharing Joy, Spreading Kindness. Squeaky, with his kind heart, made many friends. He played with the ladybugs, the ants, and the caterpillars. Ch10: A Summer to Remember. Summer flew by with fun and adventure for Squeaky. Feeling alone and confused, she didn't want to go to school. Tears welled up in her eyes as she begged to stay home. However, as Julie slowly walked towards her classroom, she spotted something bright on the ground. It was an orange glitter ball, and she felt a sense of wonder and joy as she picked it up. Holding onto her new found treasure tightly, she entered the classroom. Throughout the morning, Julie was distracted by the ball, finding comfort in its sparkle whenever she felt lost or confused about her changing body. But during Grammar, she accidentally dropped the ball, and it rolled away where she couldn't reach it. Julie felt her heart sink, knowing she had lost her special prize. Page 8: That night she decides to sneak out of the kigdom to go be with romeo in anouther kingdom. She gets to the castle walls and sees romeo who was hoping she would come to be with him. Once upon a time, in a small village nestled in the hills, there lived a young donkey named Dudu. Dudu was friendly but often felt lonely, as he was the only donkey on the farm. One sunny afternoon, while grazing near the village, Dudu heard a soft cry. Following the sound, he found a little kid goat stuck in a thorny bush. The kid was scared and couldn’t free itself, so Dudu gently nudged the thorns with his nose. His strong teeth helped him break the twigs one by one, carefully rescuing the kid. The kid bleated with joy as it was freed, and thanked Dudu for his kindness. From that day, Dudu and the little goat, whom he named Piku, became the best of friends. They spent their days playing together, exploring the hills, and looking after each other. They realized that even though they were different, their friendship was the most beautiful thing in the world. And so, the lonely donkey and the small kid became inseparable, proving that kindness and friendship could overcome any difference.
